Summary

At Yelp, you have the opportunity to make a real impact on a product used by millions of people every day. The team you’ll work with is innovative, nimble, and fun, with a knack for showcasing products that are reliable and scalable to our expanding market. The culture at Yelp is a unique environment combining the best parts of being at a startup with the stability and resources of a successful public company. You’ll have full ownership of the product you’re working on and will be able to make fast decisions in a highly collaborative, no-BS, no-bureaucracy environment.

As a Product Manager for the Content Platform team, you’ll be responsible for identifying, collecting, and making available rich content from our vast and vibrant community of business owners, partners, and millions of consumer contributors. You’ll help us determine what new ideas and trends Yelp needs to showcase, how to obtain that data at high coverage from new channels, how to organize it for high quality and availability, and how to curate and display it in the consumer experience.

This opportunity is fully remote and does not require you to be located in any particular state within the US. We welcome applicants from throughout the US. We’d love to have you apply, even if you don’t feel you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Yelp, we’re looking for great people, not just those who simply check off all the boxes.

What you'll do:

  • Build and evangelize new capabilities for our content platform to collect and surface content.
  • Collaborate with our consumer and business-facing content moderation and machine learning teams, along with our partners, to collect, curate, and surface the data Yelp needs to help consumers connect with the right businesses.
  • Be the voice of our customers—both consumers and business owners—and connect with them on a regular basis.
  • Define and communicate product strategies and roadmaps
  • Define, develop, prioritize, execute, and measure features and experiments.
  • Work with our engineering and design teams to hone and iterate on your ideas.
  • Move quickly: we strive for design perfection but love to release and iterate.

What it takes to succeed:

  • Several years of experience building consumer-facing products.
  • A drive to understand the customer through hands-on research.
  • Experience managing data pipelines, executing data quality projects, AI, LLM, ML, data products, technical program management, content modeling, and content moderation tools.
  • Solid understanding of how to grow metrics and lots of practice running experiments.
  • Great with data: you can run your own queries and turn data into actionable insights.
  • Experience building a technical platform or data products, or other products where the result enables other teams to build and launch new features.
  • Play well with others: you enjoy sharing knowledge and ideas with others as much as learning from them.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent work experience is required.

What you'll get:

  • Compensation range is $104,000-269,000 annually. Depending on your role and level, you may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
  • This opportunity has the option to be fully remote in all locations across the US.
