Supplier Advertising & Merchandising Services (SAMS) is responsible for the strategy and sales of self-service sponsored listings (Wayfair Sponsored Products, WSP), on-site and off-site display ads (Display), Wayfair Sponsored Shops (WSS), and Supplier-funded marketing (SFM, comprising event sponsorships, email, print catalog, etc.). Our mission is to drive commercial and operational excellence across a suite of advertising offerings and advise suppliers how to use these effectively to grow their businesses on our sites.
We are looking for a Analyst to offer data-driven solutions to problems posed by stakeholders across the company, and provide insights informing Wayfair’s supplier advertising strategies. Our work is technically challenging, high-impact, and heavily relied upon for strategic decision-making. This role provides exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to work with a variety of cross-functional partners across Commercial and Technology organizations. A successful Analyst is driven, flexible, able to think on their feet and solve ambiguous problems creatively. They have demonstrated skill with technical tools and processes through data analysis, data visualization, or other similar experience. Analysts must be detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
What You'll Do
- Conduct rigorous analyses, generate data-driven, strategic insights, craft high-impact solutions, and deliver accurate results to stakeholders and leadership
- Develop data sets and KPIs that allow us to track progress and effectively respond when we do not see the results we expect
- Communicate findings with a clear point of view and compelling visualizations so your insights can be used to help drive product strategy
- Develop, distribute, and maintain scalable self-service tools and dashboards that align with broader departmental goals, allowing cross-functional partners to access data and identify meaningful insights
- Monitor key performance indicators and assess how we’re making progress against our core metrics and OKRs
- Work cross-functionally with a variety of teams including Analytics, Forecasting, and Technology
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, or other quantitative and technically-rigorous field required
- 1+ years of work experience in a relevant field, ideally in business analytics, strategy, startup/tech, and/or advertising
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style based on the audience
- Proficient knowledge of SQL / Eden, Google Cloud Platform, and Excel / Google Sheets
- Familiarity with visualization tools, such as Google Data Studio, Looker, or similar
- Knowledge of Python / Git is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of digital advertising is preferred, but not required
