What you'll do:
- Develop and Maintain Backend Services: You will design, build, enhance, and optimize backend services using Java and frameworks like Spring boot. Your work will ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of our server-side applications.
- Data Management: Implement and manage real-time data streaming using technologies like Kafka, Google Pub-Sub. Utilize databases such as Azure CosmosDB, Azure SQL to store and retrieve data efficiently. You will design and maintain database schemas, ensure data integrity, and optimize queries for performance.
- Implement Security and Authentication: Develop and maintain secure authentication and authorization mechanisms to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Optimize Application Performance: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the application. Use profiling tools and techniques to ensure the backend services are running efficiently.
- Monitor and Troubleshoot Issues: Setup monitoring and alerting mechanisms to track the health and performance of backend services. Diagnose and resolve production issues to ensure high availability and reliability of the system.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with team leads and other developers to understand the requirements, provide technical insights and deliver end-to-end solutions.
What you'll bring:
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Solid understanding of microservice-based architecture and development of RESTful services
- Experience working with Eclipse and/or IntelliJ for Java application development
- Experience developing applications using Java version 11, 17, or later
- Can independently develop solutions using Spring Boot and Spring Batch frameworks
- Experience implementing TDD practices using JUnit/Mock frameworks
- Experience with products utilized within the Microsoft Azure cloud platform
- CosmosDB
- Azure Blob Storage
- Azure SQL
- Experience working with applications that integrate with Apache Kafka for data streaming
- Knowledge of docker and containerized deployments within Kubernetes
- Experience working on systems/applications supporting the healthcare industry or any other where encryption of data is required using AES, RSA etc.,
- Understands how to manage source code using standard Github practices
- Knowledge of how to navigate in Linux operating system environments
- Knowledge of creating CI jobs using Jenkins or similar tools
- Familiarity with Ansible deployment tools
- Comfortable managing day-to-day work using Jira

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
