This highly visible global role at Walmart leads collaborative teamwork in supporting internal and external events and experiences for the largest company in the world. In this essential role, you’ll lead production efforts for live events while overseeing sourcing management, best practices, and budgets. The ideal candidate possesses strong people skills and executive presence, driven by current and future trends, and skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously with a calm and composed approach.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Production and Events Strategy, this role will play a critical role in helping us deliver world-class events and tailored experiences for our target audiences while also living our values. What You’ll Do:

The Senior Manager of Production for Event Solutions will implement the vision and execution of large and high-profile events, building strong relationships with partners and suppliers to achieve organizational goals. The Sr. Manager of Production will communicate strategies and timelines across teams, keeping leadership updated while leading on-site execution and resource coordination. The successful candidate will stay informed on industry trends and will drive creativity and innovation while developing best practices that enhance efficiency and reduce costs. The Sr. Manager of Production will guide vendor performance, drive technical aspects to engage attendees, and proactively address challenges for seamless event execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the strategic planning and execution of large-scale events by building strong relationships with key suppliers and internal partners.

  • Oversees on-site execution, ensuring seamless resource availability and functionality, including A/V gear, stages, seating, and décor.

  • Serves as a team leader and supports leadership on Event Solutions.

  • Communicates event details and timelines to cross-functional teams, defines project scope, and coordinates efforts while providing regular progress updates.

  • Manages rehearsal schedules, recommends presentation enhancements, and oversees content management.

  • Conducts facility tours, reviews project milestones, and develops staffing plans.

  • Provides strategic guidance to suppliers on stage, lighting, audio, and graphic design for optimal attendee engagement.

  • Ensures all graphics align with branding guidelines and secures necessary approvals from leadership and stakeholders.

  • Stays ahead of industry trends by anticipating changes in practices.

  • Drives cost efficiencies and innovation for customers.

  • Implements best practices and processes to support Event Solutions.

  • Proactively identifies and resolves implementation challenges to ensure event success.

  • Organizes coalitions with cross-functional groups to quickly respond to urgent situations.

  • Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs.

  • Develops and implements business strategies and plans.

  • Determines resource requirements and measures outcomes to ensure desired results.

  • Identifies improvement opportunities and promotes a customer-centric environment.

  • Demonstrates adaptability and fosters continuous learning.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years in an event production management role with experience overseeing 3rd party suppliers and/or agencies.

  • Proven record of planning and executing large-scale, high-quality events with complex creative demands and budgets.

  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with experience working with key industry stakeholders, partners, and suppliers.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and people skills.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and leverage resources.

  • Must be willing to travel throughout the year.

  • Ability to thrive under pressure and deadlines; must be able to manage multiple projects at once.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
