Senior Manager, Compliance And Ethics Operations – Emerging Technology Governance

The Senior Manager – Emerging Technology Governance will help shape Walmart’s ethical use of data and responsible use of technology as we work at transforming ourselves and the retail experience for our customers and associates.

We are looking for a highly skilled, dedicated and ambitious candidate to join the Walmart Emerging Technology Governance Team. This is a critical role that works with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop emerging technology governance policies to facilitate our business with digital transformation initiatives. You will help shape the company’s compliance program to help drive the responsible use of emerging technology. Reporting to the Senior Director of Emerging Technology Governance, you’ll work to draft and develop presentations, policies and guidance documents, create processes to enhance our program and controls whilst working to resolve challenges and questions with respect to policy applicability.

What you’ll do….

  • Policy and Procedure – Work with subject matter experts, legal, our business partners and others to understand business needs and regulations and assist in developing policies and controls to operationalize those needs, and presentations to message the team’s goals
  • Project Management – Take ownership in one or multiple team objectives and implementing a plan of action. Manage multiple action plans to help achieve business objectives
  • Continuous Improvement – Drive initiatives that lead to the continuous improvement of our program. Learn to utilize the many tools and resources we have available to efficiently manage workflow. Drive monitoring and testing program to ensure we modify and enhance our controls to work at its optimum levels
  • Collaboration - Build and maintain strategic relationships with subject matter experts and other business partners as we work to enable the business in the responsible usage of emerging technologies. Be a team player and work to identify solutions through collaboration and partnership with key stakeholders
  • Operating with excellence – drive KPIs and execution of goals, with the highest level of excellence, being able to present to all levels of leadership, managing multiple projects and deadlines, and developing your knowledge base. Design, develop and implement a comprehensive AI governance program in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements

  • You have a background in compliance, business, law, policy development or marketing
  • You have a background or demonstrated interest in emerging technology, artificial intelligence, or data ethics
  • You have a great eye for detail and can draft simple, clear, and concise policies and presentations
  • You are comfortable communicating with senior and executive leadership
  • You’re organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • You’re a master at making complex subjects easily understood through text and visuals
  • You “get things done” and have a “can do” attitude

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 2 years’ supervisory experience. 3 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
