Job Description

The desired candidate will work in the Compliance Technology Operations team under Global Ethics & Compliance Organization for Commercial & Money Movement Solutions (CMS) Business. This team is in the center of all technology development for Compliance requirements and new product enablement. As a Technical Product Manager, you are the liaison and strong link between multiple teams at Visa, bridging the technology, product, and business teams. The primary focus will be on Compliance requirements for AML (Screening, CDD, Transaction Monitoring), Real Time Monitoring, Data and Reporting for Money movement solutions.

Looking for a candidate who has a strong work ethic, leadership skills, excellent judgment and good time management in prioritizing work, and ability to work in fast paced, team-oriented environment. Essential to gain solid understanding of Visa’s Compliance program and leverage this knowledge to develop requirements to build new features and enhance platform capabilities of compliance systems. CTO team is responsible to support various business lines and products across Visa and therefore requires strong collaboration, relationship building and excellent leadership qualities for partnership with engineering, operations, product, compliance, and other teams across Visa.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for innovation in payments, technology, and product management, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to drive delivery in a complex environment. Need to have a good technical background, database query skills and data analytics to support activities related to incident management, calculate KPIs large-scale platforms to support requests and incidents, and remediation process.

Responsibilities

  • In this position, you will collaborate with Product and Technology leadership and share responsibilities to envision, define and design the future of Compliance technology platforms. Act as Key contributor to drive the strategy and feature development of Compliance tools.
  • This role is focused on designing and improving new/existing Compliance system and its third-party integrations, while also exploring automation, improving user experience, and partnering cross functionally.
  • Translate compliance product requirements into detailed technical specifications and actionable deliverables. Discuss technical implementation details with architects and other technical teams. Collaborate with engineering teams to build robust, reliable, and scalable Compliance tools.
  • Create, own and present product roadmaps of multiple complex product lines/product families and work with business and process owners to ensure alignment with overall business strategy
  • Strategically and tactically own product development for Compliance platforms and customer experiences related to AML & Sanctions, including the ability to identify product solution opportunities, enable automation and drive the execution of technology initiatives
  • Detailed data analysis on investigation and enhancement requests collected as user feedback and ability to identify areas of technology and process improvement, propose recommendations and solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prioritize enhancements and fixes based on user needs and business goals to deliver effective solutions. Strong follow-through ability to drive to closure and resolution for deliverables.
  • Work very closely with development and QA organizations to ensure technical specifications and final product meet business requirements.
  • Responsible for end-to-end UAT testing and sign off the compliance system enhancements, conducting Demos to Product and Business stakeholders, Coordinate with engineering and operations teams for production validation activities.
  • Manage compliance systems in higher environments and be the first line of defense for any compliance system related queries/issues in Production.
  • Collaborate with multiple compliance technology team members to learn and share the best practices, automations, AI-driven innovation etc.
  • Partner with data analytics teams to conduct/support above and below the line Tuning for Transaction monitoring, False positive and False negative tuning for screening.
  • Support Compliance system Audit/Exams, KPI and KRI.
  • Working experience on the Agile Methodologies and should have good knowledge on the agile product management practices.
  • Work in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment with minimal supervision and develop effective relationships with business and IT stakeholders to complete day to day activities with excellence in quality, accuracy, and minimal guidance.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field followed by at least 7 years of experience in solution and design of AML systems.
• Strong understanding of AML Functionalities. Hands-on experience with any AML system is a plus.
• Strong Data Analysis and Issue resolution skills.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Technical expertise and able to confidently work with engineers, testers, data scientist, and other resources.
• Effective negotiation and influencing skills, including strong written and verbal communication and presentation.
• Analytical and structured thinker as well as with extensive experience in customer/business interaction, management, and software solution delivery.
• An initiative-taking individual with the ability to address challenges, solve problems, and enable progression.
• Experience demonstrating strong leadership qualities, self-motivation, accountability, and team player. Able to work autonomously, needs minimal support and direction and collaborate effectively with willingness to work across different time zones as part of a geographically distributed team.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology.
