Job Description
Visa’s Global Sourcing Operations and Enablement team has an opportunity for a creative, pragmatic and results oriented Contract Project Manager to join the Global Contracts Management team. This individual will be responsible to: support contract lifecycle management for Global Sourcing, manage continuous Source to Pay process improvement projects and systems and tools enhancements, support the contract lifecycle management integration of Merger and Acquisition entities and drive business and commercial contract negotiations.

Our candidate must also be focused on delivering solutions and process efficiencies for contract lifecycle management and the Source to Pay process, through problem solving partnership with leaders and stakeholders like the Visa Legal Sourcing team and across the organization.
This role also offers a great opportunity to engage with and gain exposure to different functions across the organization and various leaders as part of the drive to streamline and make efficiencies, while working with global stakeholders and partners.
This role will report to the Senior Director of Contracts and Project Management, Global Sourcing Operations and Enablement.
Essential Functions:
- Build relationships and effectively partner across varied functions with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, leadership and colleagues to influence change
- Identify, plan and execute strategy for contract lifecycle management for Global Sourcing, including developing and implementing process improvement projects and tool enhancements
- Support integration of Merged and Acquired entities including contract repository migration, contract novation and other activities as identified
- Negotiate and drive commercial and business contracts that achieve business objectives with Global Sourcing, Legal and Risk Stakeholder teams (Service Agreements, Software as a Service, Assignments, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Amendments and more)
- Provide creative counseling and advice to teams regarding commercial and contracting considerations, including template and schedule guidance
- Own and manage Global Sourcing’s contract template library, including drafting and delivering guidance and training material in partnership with global stakeholders
- Act as Project Manager for key initiatives for the Operations and Enablement team and broader Sourcing team
- Coordinate workflow and address escalated items (before escalating items to team manager)
- Provide periodic project updates to drive progress and accountability, identifying areas needing support and leadership guidance
- Establish and enforce Sourcing contract negotiation processes as well as governance programs to standardize tools and processes across regions and to ensure contracts comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Support audit and compliance activities related to Global Sourcing contracting process
- Perform contract risk assessments on existing agreements to determine compliance, formulate mitigation strategies after coordinating with stakeholders, and help negotiate any agreements to ensure compliance
- Communicate effectively and frequently, listen carefully, and actively seek and value the perspectives of others
- Drive completion of simultaneous projects by proactively considering new alternatives and driving critical thinking to optimize results
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree or 2 years'
experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD) including
commercial and business contracts negotiations, processes and governance,
and process simplification
Preferred Qualifications
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more
years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,
MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• Demonstrated contract and agreement negotiation experience, including
development of negotiating plans and strategies for business and commercial
contracts
• Knowledge and understanding of Merger & Acquisition activities to support
contract lifecycle management and migration
• Able to work independently and collaboratively as needed, and engage directly
with partners at all levels on a global scale
• Must be a practical and creative problem-solver with strong business acumen
and work ethic
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to track and manage
multiple projects/initiatives and work streams simultaneously while delivering
excellent results
• Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and to
identify new ways to approach old problems
• Excellent communication skills written, oral and presentation skills and an
ability to synthesize information and make concise recommendations on
course of action
• Strong academic credentials, legal education including a J.D. degree (or
international equivalent), LEAN, PMP or equivalent a plus
• Be able to manage projects efficiently and drive complex business initiatives
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability in working across multiple business partners, and
geographies
• Preference for prior experience in payments or financial services
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 122,300.00 to 177,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
