Programmer Analyst III - Business Intelligence - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Non-Exempt) (Non-Union)

Serves as a technical lead in configuring and maintaining enterprise applications. Interacts with community to define and implement application workflows. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems. Manages program configuration, coding, testing, debugging, documentation and maintenance. Has full technical knowledge of programming and analysis and interacts with users in gathering and implementing business requirements. Utilizes query languages (such as SQL, DBMS) and application configuration to manage data flows within the system.
Essential Duties:
- Assigned duties related to Electronic Health Record administration
- Designs, codes, tests, debugs, installs, documents and maintains moderately complex software applications.
- Detects, defines and debugs programs whenever problems are reported or encountered.
- Interacts with users to determine their software application objectives, scope and requirements.
- Produces the required analysis and application design, either individually or by actively participating in development process. Produces design specification documents.
- Translates design specifications into programming languages.
- Prepares developer and end-user documentation for other programmers and users in accordance with internal and external standards.
- Develops test data and routines required to test and revise application(s). Ensures application(s) is thoroughly tested before release. Writes reports of test results.
- Stays informed of new developments and technologies by reading journals and other pertinent publications, maintaining contact with vendors, and participating in professional organizations, meetings and seminars.
- Trains users and programmers as required.
- Provides leadership, guidance and direction to other programmers, as needed. Reviews the work of others, as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Req Bachelor's degree Computer Science Information System, Computer Science or a related field
- OR the equivalent combination of experience and education that would demonstrate the capability to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
- Req 3 years Minimum three (3) years of experience working with SQL (T-SQL or equivalent) and working knowledge of other programming languages.
- Req Proven track record as a self-starter and able to learn with minimum supervision.
- Req Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical business users.
- Req Demonstrated ability and knowledge on: Analysis; assessment/evaluation; conceptualization and design; problem identification and resolution; teaching/training; applications/systems development methodologies; business requirements tools and techniques; programming languages; write in computer code; software design tools; technical documentation.

Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
