We’re looking for an Associate Director, IT Software Engineer to:

• Design, develop and improve the digital products and technology services provided to the clients and employees.
• Apply a broad range of software engineering techniques, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing, CI/CD and other DevOps practices.
• Ensure the quality, security, reliability and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Build observability into solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents and remediate the root cause of risks and issues.
• Learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind.
• Work in an agile way as part of multi-disciplinary teams, participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers and others.
• Understand, represent and advocate for client needs.

Your expertise

• Education & Experience Requirement
This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a Programmer Analyst, Senior Consultant, Senior Software Engineer or related role.

• Position requires experience with the following:
• development, design, maintenance and integration of software solutions
• good scripting knowledge, including Groovy, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, SQL, and Java
• experience with cloud based solutions
• understanding of how to apply standards, methods, techniques and templates as defined by SDLC
• test driven development and Agile delivery
• continuous integration and continuous deployment using Jenkins/Ansible
• usage of GIT for version control
• application monitoring, with experience using tools such as SPLUNK, NETCOOL and MIRO
• undertaking code reviews and conducting static code analysis using tools such as FindBugs
• providing application support to end users and troubleshooting technical issues
• managing relationships and coordinating activities with BAs, other developers and testers across global locations
• driving and implementing good practices
