Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the full-time position of Software Engineering Manager - iOS in Chicago, IL.

Essential Responsibilities:

Work with various enterprise teams within U.S. Bank to integrate the Auth mobile framework for iOS and Android and ensure the application is secured. Provide technical design and architecture for these features and share with development team. Specific duties and responsibilities will include:

1) prepare Auth mobile SDK integration plan, delivery timelines and risks;

2) review the integration plan with Information Security team;

3) lead the development of applications using Objective C, Swift, SwiftUI, Cordova, ReactNative and ReactJS and perform code reviews with onsite and offshore teams;

4) ensure the team delivers the project with quality code, and performs unit testing, CI/CD and automation;

5) ensure the team follows TDD/BDD (test driven development/behavior driven development) for API development;

6) connect with system level architect to review new architectural changes;

7) manage onsite and offshore direct reports including reviewing timesheets and connecting with team members 1-1 to share feedback biweekly;

8) leading the development of complex full stack mobile applications across native and server-side components working with version control systems (Git, Svn); build systems (Gradle, maven), and CI tools (Jenkins, Artifactory); and

9) working with the following: native iOS & Android frameworks (API, unit testing, deployment), performance tools, optimization, Kotlin, Spring boot, XCTest framework, mobile security practices (SSL Pinning, OAuth2, Encryption), and design patterns (MVVM, MVC, and VIPER).

May supervise approximately 10 subordinate software engineers in the following positions: Associate Software Engineer, Software Engineer, and/or Senior Software Engineer.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science and Engineering or Computer Engineering and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience designing and developing iOS native for mobile phones and tablets.

Required Skills/Experience:

Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following:

1) Using native iOS & Android frameworks (API, unit testing, deployment) and performance tools, and optimization.

2) Developing complex full stack mobile applications across native and server-side components working with version control systems (Git, Svn); build systems (gradle, maven), and CI tools (Jenkins, Artifactory).

3) Utilizing DevOps capabilities including containers, cloud, automation, security, configuration management, and CI/CD.

4) Utilizing XCTest framework to write unit test cases for code coverage and measuring application performance.

5) Developing applications using Objective C, Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin, Cordova, ReactNative, ReactJS, and Spring boot.

6) Working with mobile security practices (SSL Pinning, OAuth2, Encryption).

7) Utilizing design patterns including MVVM, MVC, and VIPER.

Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Position requires 10% domestic and international travel. This position is with U.S. Bank National Association, a U.S. Bank company.

Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $148,949 - $177,500.
