Lead cohesive strategy and associated activation plans that deliver best-in-class sponsorship and experiential marketing for Truist. Manage the associated team and its effort to drive excellence for Truist in the sports, entertainment, and lifestyle industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Identify, research, analyze, recommend and maximize sponsorship opportunities (e.g., nonprofit organizations, good will, community reinvestment, sports teams, events) for the enterprise.
2. Develop core sponsorships marketing strategies that align with the broader enterprise objectives and help support those in the business as they seek to drive results.
3. Develop and implement plans to execute business and enterprise marketing strategies and plans.
4. Work with Client Marketing Management, Centers of Excellence, and business leaders and managers, to deliver marketing programs to clients and prospects in local business markets and across the enterprise.
5. Manage a team of professional-level contributors by setting the team's direction, communicating individual and team priorities, and ultimately executing on strategic goals and objectives for Truist. Includes managing deliverables for the team against expected results.
6. Lead highly complex and visible projects with notable risk and complexity. Make leadership decisions within established policies, procedures, and established objectives.
7. Manage for the team all internal processes, policies and procedures as well as all associated reporting necessary for senior management including but not limited to budget, legal, sourcing, risk, etc.
8. Identify and resolve technical, operational, risk management, business, and organizational challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent education and related training
2. Ten years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, managing teams
3. Demonstrated contribution to marketing strategy development to solve complex and/or unique operational problems; sound and comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes
4. Extensive knowledge of business and organizational strategies and management objectives
5. Ability to lead large projects of significant complexity and notable risk exposure
6. Ability to influence others at senior levels to adopt a new perspective
7. Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry
8. Experience leading a team of junior and professional-level contributors

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree, MBA and/or twelve years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
2. Banking or financial services experience
