Summarized Purpose:
The Finance Manager is a key member of the finance team within the Patient and Advisory Services Division (PASD) and will directly support all aspects of financial operations for the Patient-Centered Research (PCR) practice area. This role is remote based (East Coast preferred) and will require up to 10% travel. What You Will Do
The Finance Manager is responsible for business partnering with the Patient Centered Research (PCR) practice area leadership team to support all financial aspects of PCR operations, driving consistent achievement of objectives in revenue growth, earnings, and cash flow. This role suits an individual with a passion for financial concepts and data analytics to support monthly budgeting processes, performance analytics, and undertaking ad hoc work when needed.
- Perform all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes to include month-end close, reporting, planning/forecasting, and analytics.
- Ensure the accurate compilation, timely reporting, and analysis of data to assist in data evaluation and decision making and support all practice area operations.
- Provide transparency into the monthly forecasting cycle and calibrate financial targets with feedback from the PCR practice area and finance leadership teams.
- Assist in annual operating plan and long-term financial projection activities.
- Identify areas for improvements in execution across PCR and with the client as a whole.
- Perform various ad-hoc financial and operating tasks, as-needed.
- Leverage multiple enterprise resource planning software systems and other databases to access financial data and extract insights.
Education
- BS in Finance or Accounting
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred
- In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Experience
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years) or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, & experience.
- 1+ year of leadership responsibility
- Solid supervisory and management skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Knowledge of accounting/financial principles and best practices with sophisticated analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and implement them successfully.
- Self-motivated with a bias for action.
- Commitment to continued learning.
- Possess a high-level of integrity and ethics.
- Teamwork-oriented with collaborative style.
- Ability to manage upwards and present ideas to stakeholders.
