What to Expect

As a Validation Engineer on the High Voltage Systems team, you will have the opportunity to develop validation plans and automation tooling to help accelerate the development of new products and features for Tesla vehicles. Through the lens of validation, you will have the opportunity to assist in the bringup of new products and features, working closely with firmware developers to ensure the quality of Tesla products. Join a dedicated and highly skilled team of engineers and you will have opportunity to work on cutting-edge and impactful products.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop a static code analysis review process using Polyspace
  • Develop tooling to create coverage reports on a per-release basis using Polarion and XRAY
  • Create pipeline to upload data from simulation sweeps (e.g. power maps) into Caspian for signoff
  • Create test filtering and load balancing infrastructure to keep build times in CI / Sim-Cluster down
  • Work with integration, sysval system validation and firmware developers to create safety concept test plan for new products
  • Write Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) tests in pytest or gtest to help achieve validation plans
What You’ll Bring
  • ⁠Degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong Python and scripting skills
  • Experience creating validation plans
  • Experience working with CI/CD
  • Experience with data pipelines and data analysis
  • Experience coordinating cross-team efforts
  • Experience with pytest, gtest or an equivalent testing framework

    Expected Compensation

    $133,440 - $292,800/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
