What to Expect

Consider before applying: This position is expected to start around Apr/May and continue through Aug/Sep. Internships are in-person for 40 hours a week for a minimum of 12 weeks. Please consider before submitting an application.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week. Many students will be limited to part-time depending on their academic standing.

About the Team

Tesla is seeking passionate interns who thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to apply CS concepts to real world projects. Our Mobile Applications Engineering team is responsible for Tesla’s best-in-class mobile app which includes exciting features such as: smart summon, climate controls, keyless entry, and sentry mode.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, code, and maintain mobile user experiences
  • Optimize code for performance, stability and maintainability
  • Work with a cross-functional team of hardware engineers, application/UI software engineers, QA/Validation, and designers
What You’ll Bring
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field with a gradation date between 2025 - 2026
  • Familiar with Objective-C or Android, JavaScript
  • Experience with React/React Native and Kotlin is preferred
  • Excellent grasp of fundamental computer science concepts, good at solving complex technical problems
  • Experience using common design patterns. High standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance

    Expected Compensation

    $36.06 - $50.48 + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
