We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Capital Expense Supply Chain Manager. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our global Manufacturing and Engineering groups. Reporting to the Group Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing Injection Plastic Molding Manufacturing equipment and tooling for current and future production projects. - Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to align equipment and tooling requirements with project goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring supply, quality, cost, and timely delivery targets
- Utilize efficient project management methodologies for successful procurement outcomes and project timeline adherence
- Implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize total costs of ownership for Tesla and its customers
- Develop commercial and technical knowledge of industrial processes, technology, and supply chain
- Identify qualified suppliers, driving continuous quality improvement and Lean initiatives
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and issue purchase orders, supporting cost management objectives and design changes
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in Commercial Relations Management, Sourcing, Procurement, Program Management
- 2+ years of experience in the Manufacturing Industry
- Understanding of legal contract and commercial agreement fundamentals
- Expertise in "should-cost" estimates, analyzing supplier proposals, and manufacturing cost breakdowns.
- Service-oriented mindset with a focus on internal customer needs with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven track record in achieving and negotiating cost reductions and goal achievements
