Sr. Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Energy Electromechanical

- Plan, organize, direct and conduct industrialization related activities within the Supply Chain team
- Develop, manage, audit and improve supplier planning and execution of component manufacturing, assembly and quality control processes from the development phase to qualification and mass production
- Accountable for supplier audits to ensure suppliers ability to meet part performance, delivery, and reliability expectations
- Provide leadership for New Product Introduction (NPI) at Suppliers through conducting and implementing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis and drive design solutions during early design phase with Design Engineering team
- Facilitate communication and clarification of technical requirements and Critical to Quality (CTQ) items that drive robust supplier processes to meet requirements from Design, Quality and Production teams
- Accountable for leading, tracking and improving supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products and design changes
- Drive supplier improvements on materials, methods, design, manufacturability, quality or cost reduction
- Manage supplier quality performance and work closely with Factory Quality team and Supplier Quality Engineers to address Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) involving design and/or process changes to ensure actions are robust, sustainable, and implemented for similar potential concerns across manufacturing lines and/or suppliers
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or evidence of experience and exceptional ability
- 5+ years of experience supporting electromechanical assembly, testing and related mechanical fabrication processes in a Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering role. Will accept a master’s degree in same fields with 3 years work experience
- Minimum 3 year experience in electromechanical assembly and mechanical part Quality Systems (PPAP/APQP), NPI and inspection
- 3 year experience with 3D CAD, DFM, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), statistical process control (SPC) a plus
- Ability to communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, hands on and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical writing and discussion ability to explain complex issues in a concise and plain manner
- Domestic and International travel (average of 30 - 40% of the time) is required to engage with suppliers, possibly on short notice
