Job Overview
The Senior Manager, Government Solutions Product Management is a strategist, analyst, customer evangelist, respected leader of execution, and professional relationship builder who is focused on driving innovative and transformational solutions. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Management, in this role, you will be ultimately accountable and responsible in developing and aligning of T-Mobile's Government product portfolio to offer innovative solutions and engage senior leadership across the Stale, Local, Education, and Federal segments.
As Senior Manager, Government Solutions Product Management you will define long-term strategy of the product portfolio; align the various product road maps; help drive and support technical delivery end to end; define the scope for releases/product increments; partner with T-Mobile’s Marketing, Sales and Technology teams as well as external partners.
You will work closely with T-Mobile and its partners to facilitate high-level meetings between executives and key stakeholders to promote and advocate for Government products objectives. In addition, you will help deliver customer trials and solutions, working to investigate, collaborate, deploy and support on-site customer use cases, documenting and demonstrating to our customers their return on investment and a realization of the value of T-Mobile’s Government solutions portfolio.
Senior Manager, Government Solutions Product Management is a generalist with diverse experience in leveraging deep customer empathy, strategic thinking, detailed project planning and execution, commercial, analytical, and leadership prowess to successfully deliver delightful and differentiated products that drive growth.
You should have a deep understanding of 3GPP, wireless cellular technologies, cellular devices, and Government specific contract vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works in collaboration with the Senior Director and peers to develop strategy, plan, goals (outcomes) for their scope of business. Collaboration should extend to customer teams and groups, as well as close working teams within P&T.

  • Drive cross-functional alignments with various teams including Engineering, Business Assurance, Financial Operations and Accounting teams to understand current product experiences, identifies areas of opportunity and prioritize feature development.

  • Maintains current understanding of the Wireless Industry trends for Government. Assesses how trends impact the roadmap or create opportunity for innovation of the products. Collaborates with partners and vendors in analyzing the potential impacts and incorporates analyses into product process.

  • Sr. Manager may also own lifecycle management of multiple Government Products. The responsibilities include creating, managing, maintaining, and communicating product vision and roadmap. Supporting development of Business cases for product development and owns the product vision and roadmap.

  • Develops change management and regularly cascades Vision, Strategy to align goals with corporate priorities from executives to direct reports.

  • Regularly provides review and guidance to Product Management team & Vendor on execution related responsibilities. This includes:

  • Drives accountability, from both T-Mobile and vendors regarding implementation, service levels and adherence to T-Mobile’s contractual terms

  • Ensures Product Team follows enterprise process to secure and maintain product funding. Works to resolve any blockers or issues with product funding.

  • Coordinates activities/communication between internal teams and vendors. Partners with leadership to help determine back-office budget for projects, products, and areas of improvement on cost savings and service quality.

  • Represent T-Mobile as a primary contact with the Vendor for performance, quarterly business reviews, escalations, and issue resolution. Build and maintain relationships with vendor leadership to align and manage expectations of services delivery/reliability.

  • Assists direct reports with ongoing prioritization and resource allocation to ensure scope and outcomes are delivered.

  • Collaborates and contributes to creation of development plans for each direct report and creates leadership opportunities for direct reports.

  • Creates, communicates, and monitors formal performance improvement plan (PIP) when necessary and appropriate.

  • Provides regular, timely coaching lateral (peer) and upward feedback. Fosters culture in team to enable regular, timely, constructive upward feedback

  • Hire, manage, and develop a team of high performing individual contributors

  • May be required to serve or execute the role of Product Manager for a specific product or group of products.


  • Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience. (Required)

  • Master's/Advanced Degree In Business Administration (Required)



  • Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant Product Management experience in an agile product development environment. (Required)

  • 4 – 7 years’ experience managing teams of 5 or more resources in direct reporting relationship in Product Management organization. (Required)



  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Product Lifecycle Management Experience in delivering large and complex business/technology initiatives. (Required)

  • Communication Proven ability to communicate with Leadership effectively, while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences including executives and non-technical leaders.

  • Business Analytics Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to
    identify/analyze/synthesize product use data.

  • Agile Project Management Experience with Agile backlog/project management tools.

Washington Pay Range: $182,700 - $247,200

  • The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range.

  • At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance, while Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives. Base Pay Range: $140,500 - $253,500
