This role is based in Minneapolis, MN. The person must live in the Twin Cities area and will work in a hybrid model, coming to the MSP Office 2+ days a week.

Our North Central Market is home to a diversified and growing group of client accounts, ranging from Fortune 5 companies to exciting start-ups to impactful non-profits and public sector opportunities. The Business Operations team supports sales, portfolio, account, and engagement leaders. We bring efficiency to internal functions and enable consultants to focus their time on our clients.

What You’ll Do

The Business Operations Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end operations of the North Central market, inclusive of client accounts in Minnesota, Western Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, North and South Dakota. Our primary office hub is in downtown Minneapolis. This role reports directly to the Central Region Business Operations Lead and will take direction from the North Central Chief of Staff and General Manager.

Responsibilities Include

  • Owns the prioritization and delivery of all business operations priorities for the market
  • Identifies pain points and areas for improvement working with their manager and the local team to propose solutions
  • Assist pursuit leads in maintaining sales, opportunity, and staffing data in our systems
  • Facilitate deal review process and governance
  • Support account planning processes
  • Facilitate account onboarding for diamond accounts (background checks, client credentials, equipment, etc.)
  • Monitor engagement financials and partner with delivery teams to mitigate risks
  • Validate and reconcile consultant time entry
  • Provide metrics and reporting to support account, industry, and market leaders in understanding the health of their business – including development of insights and recommendations based on that data
  • Act as a liaison to the Engagement Management Office and other global services teams to research complex questions and troubleshoot issues
  • Champion global initiatives and provide process support for the business
  • Maintain operational excellence and advance operational maturity in your market/portfolio
  • Participate in occasional global initiatives
  • Actively mentor and coach direct reports

  • Minneapolis
  • Hybrid role, with minimum 2 days a week in the office

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years professional work experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Financial aptitude
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Exceptional analysis skills and ability to translate information to insight
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Excel, and ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Process design and improvement experience

Preferred Experience

  • Professional services industry experience
  • Salesforce or similar CRM tool
  • Power BI or similar analytics tool
  • People leadership experience
  • Experience with communicating and managing upward

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range for an Analyst is $92,000-147,000 and the base. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
