Job Description
As the Senior Principal Outbound Product Manager for Cloud and Data Platform, you will be a key player in shaping our infrastructure product offerings and driving compliance and profitability. You'll work closely with various teams across the organization to ensure our cloud and data platform products meet market demands while optimizing our business performance.
What you get to do in this role:
- Product Success
- Drive the cloud and data platform business by looking for new opportunities to monetize offerings and grow our existing offerings for Cloud Services and Data Management.
- Provide reporting on the sales pipeline for cloud and data products and advise decision makers about revenue forecasts
- Provide strategic input on discounting approvals to balance competitiveness and profitability
- Collect and analyze product feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with pricing specialists to optimize product packaging and pricing strategies
- Influence company strategy for product offerings with different underlying technologies or data residency
- Drive compliance projects to find customer with misaligned provisioning or improper entitlements and work with account teams to cure these problems.
- Proactively identify and address potential roadblocks, challenges, and questions before they impact the team
- Educate
- Develop and deliver enablement materials for sales teams, partners, customers, and deal desk, focusing on our cloud and data platform offerings
- Create and host internal webinars to educate sales teams on product offerings, pricing structures, and value propositions
- Engage with customers to explain product differences and justify pricing when necessary
- Sales Success
- Manage and approve restricted SKUs, ensuring proper allocation and usage
- Guide account teams in selecting appropriate SKUs to ensure customer compliance and satisfaction
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we need someone who has:
- 5+ years of experience in product management, analytics, strategy, or related roles, preferably in SaaS or infrastructure products
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to identify and solve problems proactively
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and terminology (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with basic IT infrastructure components such as storage, databases, application servers, and load balancers
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders across different organizational levels without direct authority
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for various audiences
- Experience in creating sales enablement materials and conducting training sessions
