Role and Responsibilities
The Senior Manager, Retail Sales Strategy & Operations position will lead and support cross-business initiatives. You will assist the VP, Home Appliance Retail Sales in short and mid/long-range business planning, manage strategic projects, and lead internal/external communications.
Key activities and responsibilities include:
- Oversee short and mid-to-long-term strategic planning
- Develop strategic communications for internal and external audiences
- Manage and track sales targets and gap closure actions with the national sales team
- Provide industry insights and analysis, related to e-commerce vs. in-store shopping trends
- Develop business cases and strategic options based on industry insights, internal capabilities, financial models, and ROI analysis to support planning initiatives
- Directly manage all key projects
- Identify best-in-class communication processes across the organization to ensure efficiency, speed, and clarity on critical business decisions.
Operational Leadership:
- Drive quarterly business planning with each national account
- Participate in Supply Chain meetings, and drive follow-through on key action items
- Coordinate quarterly workshops between the Sales and Product Marketing teams to track the progress against key goals, objectives, and strategic initiatives
- Oversee planning for key customer meetings to ensure successful outcomes and follow-ups on issues of strategic importance
- Identify process improvement opportunities between HQ functions and regional sales offices
Strategic Initiatives:
- Apply effective project management skills so that key milestones are met on time and at or under budget
- Lead and facilitate cross-divisional task forces on key strategic issues based on senior management request
Strategic Communication:
- Create internal and external communications and/or presentations on issues and key strategies
- Assist retail sales VP in relaying critical information in a clear and concise fashion

- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 6 years of experience.
- Demonstrated strategic thinker who can turn strategic objectives into practical action
- Detail-oriented and operationally minded, strong organizational and follow-through.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for establishing relationships cross-functionally and cross-divisionally
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office is required with an emphasis on quantitative analysis (Excel) and the creation of presentations (PowerPoint)
- Background in corporate strategy, strategic planning, finance, or operational role preferred
- Knowledge of one or more consumer goods industries, preferably in consumer electronics preferred
