We are seeking an experienced Events and Engagement Manager to join our Mobile B2B organization. This position serves to lead events and engagement activities for the Mobile Experience (MX) Business to Business (B2B) Team at Samsung Electronics America, with a focus on, strategy, execution and program management.
They will be an experienced, strategic and highly creative individual who will orchestrate MX internal and external events, employee engagement activities and social engagement activities. This person must be technologically adept, have exceptional project management and communication skills, comfort with logistics, and is highly collaborative. Critical that they have a proven track record for managing successful large-scale events and employee engagement programs.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Design and orchestrate overall Mobile B2B Events and Engagements as well as assist with all SEA MX Events and Engagement programs as needed.
  • Provide oversight of event management and logistics for but not limited to: Tradeshows, Samsung hosted customer events, Employee Engagement Activities, Leadership Team Meetings, etc.
  • Manage Reporting Dashboards in support of marketing team members’ projects to measure and report on the success of their programs.
  • Manage end to end events as listed above inclusive of collaborating with Mobile B2B Teams for building strategy, planning and execution of Events and Engagements. This also includes preparing and presenting Marketing Brief, financial/funding requests
  • Manage Mobile B2B funding end to end by event as outlined above and stay within budget on all projects.
  • Coordinate with Retail, B2B, Marketing, Corporate and Suwon teams on events and engagement activities.
  • Manage centralized events and engagement calendar.
  • Align and collaborate on processes and procedures, then documenting them for activities related to supporting activities.
  • Host internal and external Mobile B2B meetings as requested, including managing the virtual meetings features such as screen sharing, recording, polling, breakout rooms, muting, etc.
  • Manage teams for specific events and projects.
  • Providing post-event support including, attendance reports, edit recordings, etc.
  • Build strong working relationship with other cross-functional teams (Consumer, Networks, Display, etc.) to identify areas of cooperation.
  • Work with internal creative teams, agencies, and platforms to deliver content.
  • Plan and manage programs, on time, on budget, to scope.
  • May lead a team of individuals on the events team. Part of that responsibility would include (but not limited to): providing timely feedback for employee growth, performance management, training of individuals, providing guidance when/where needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience leading events and engagement programs
  • Experience working on projects across all cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating schedules
  • Track record of driving and piloting new ideas, measuring the impact and outcomes
  • Strong executive presence
  • Proven track record of excellent communication skills required verbal and written. This will also include the ability to influence without authority directives with teams upwards and across the organization.
  • Data driven with focus on metrics
  • Ability to manage and influence across highly cross-functional teams including sales, customer support, PR, social and marketing
  • Experience managing projects of varying complexity; time management and project management are critical skills
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including but not limited to customers, partners and vendors)
  • Works well independently and as part of team
  • Adapts well to a fast-paced environment
  • Experience leading teams
