The Senior Category Manager, Laundry - Home Depot Account, is responsible for leading our Laundry Category Sales and Execution for The Home Depot.
Role and Responsibilities
Role & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Laundry Category Sales leader for Samsung’s Home Appliance Business with The Home Depot (a top tier Samsung customer)
- Responsible for revenue generation for Samsung Laundry appliances online in retail stores at The Home Depot
- Develop short & long-term sales strategies for Samsung Laundry appliance business
- Engage with cross functional internal teams which includes Sales Strategy, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Channel Marketing, Operations, & more to develop strategic initiatives to grow the Laundry Home Appliance category
- Own and lead Laundry business performance report outs to customer & Samsung internal. (KPIs include Units, Sales, Sales Comps, Balance of Share, Store & Online Traffic, and more
- Accountable for The Home Depot showroom product assortment, in-store and online marketing effectiveness, aligning investments to achieve financial goals, execution for all business activities and more
- Maintain/manage flooring and sell thru strategy for Laundry Appliances
- Support Customer Joint Business Plans, Branch Reviews, Workshops, and Quarterly Business Reviews as required by accounts & leadership
- Build and manage the end to end roadmaps, planning, execution, budgets, approvals, objective tracking, accountability, results, etc.
- Responsible for forecasting/planning of Laundry appliance business both internally and externally
- Partner with Product Marketing and Demand Generation to drive expansion and growth of Laundry Appliance business
- Communicate with Sales and Sales Leadership, Product Marketing, Finance, Demand Generation, SS&E, SCM, Customer Merchants and Merchant Planners, Brand Advocates, Customer CX/IT teams, Customer Inventory Planning/Replenishment teams
- Decide on best way to showcase Samsung product on HomeDepot.com and in-store.
- Negotiate to align The Home Depot with Samsung priorities
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in channel sales, marketing, or strategy
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Demonstrated digital / customer.com subject-matter expertise in sales, product marketing, & strategy
- Understanding of differentiated capabilities and digital best practices to drive online conversion, traffic, upsell, attachment, AOV, and more
- Strong digital / eCommerce experience and understanding of industry tools, capabilities, retailers, & more
- Sales background in dealing with Large National Retailers
- Understanding of appliance market – Laundry specific experience, nice to have
- Understanding of consumer retail.com, understanding of fundamental strategies, business drivers, shopper insights, business KPIs, financial planning, building business cases, & more
- Technology background in Consumer Electronics, Home Appliances, Mobile or Carrier preferred
- Superior strategic and analytical skills; experience evaluating volumes of data and making strategic recommendations for digital business
- Ability to work within a deadline-oriented, delivery-centered, fast-paced, complex team environment
- Proven ability to own and develop a customer relationship and account management process, preferably with The Home Depot account
- Strong track record of building collaborative relationships with internal peer groups and external customers and partners
- Ability to identify service and support risks
- Must have experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite
- Must have demonstrated project and program management skills
