Position Summary

Samsung Electronic America’s Supply Chain Team is responsible for ensuring product availability to meet forecasted demand by the Sales Subsidiary. Forecasts are generated via consensus calls with Customers, Sales and Marketing Teams, and with HQ and local Manufacturing Facilities via spreadsheets, SAP, and Samsung Systems and Tools. The Sr. Manager of Supply Chain Forecasting is responsible for managing a range of products and/or Accounts and will work with 7-10 staff within the Department. The Sr. Manager will publish summaries and reports for distribution with Samsung Offices and/or with Customers.

The Supply Chain Sr. Manager will be the primary point of contact for all supply related issues related to their products/Accounts at the Sales Subsidiary. They will also interact closely with Customers and with internal teams including Executive Management. Travel may be requested to visit Samsung Customers and Partners.

  • Forecast Accuracy
  • Channel Inventory Targets
  • Customer Surveys and Feedback

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Finance, or similar
  • Minimum 10-12 years’ work experience in relevant field
  • Minimum 3-5 years People Management Experience
  • PSI Forecasting Experience necessary
  • CPFR Experience helpful

Skills and Qualifications

Necessary Skills / Attributes

  • Excellent Analytical and Computer Skills
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent Communications skills (written, verbal)
    • Must be comfortable presenting to and promoting consensus-building at the Executive level.
    • Must be comfortable presenting to and building consensus with Customers at the Executive level
    • Bilingual English/Korean in a Professional setting will be helpful
  • Must be comfortable working in a multi-cultural business environment
  • Must be available to work over-time and on weekends as required
