Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Project/Process Manager for the RH Senior Vice Chancellor’s Office of Finance and Administration. Reporting to the RH Assistant Vice Chancellor of Administration and Operations, the Project/Process Manager is responsible for process and projects relating to contract lifecycle management. This position requires an advanced skill set in contract lifecycle management and experience in project management to balance multiple projects and a high volume of contract requests, including some projects that are complex, multi-year phased initiatives. This position has an indirect reporting relationship to the University Chief Procurement Officer. The position handles highly confidential and sensitive information daily.

Among the key duties for this position are the following:

  • Responsible for the planning, execution and administration of all aspects of diverse contract lifecycle management projects from ideation to completion, relating to clinical strategy and operations, health affairs, and health education. This position will require an advanced a skill set in contract lifecycle management and project management. Projects could range from acute, short-term project needs to complex multi- year projects.
  • Independently reviews, interprets, analyzes service, educational and associated agreements which could include research, service, educational affiliations, material transfer, confidentiality, collaborative, subcontract and special agreements from a legal, business, financial and technical perspective.
  • Maintains and preserves stakeholder relations with timely follow-up and professionalism. Identifies, evaluates and resolves unit/departmental problems. Maintains accurate and complete files/history, significant communication summaries, contract files, and departmental policies and procedures improvement.
  • Formulates and communicates project objectives, other resource requirements and timelines, including the development of project milestones, dependencies, review points, critical paths, and associated risks. Must be adept at recommendations to senior level leadership.
  • Maintains a detailed schedule of all projects, coordinates assignments and necessary follow-up and closely monitors deadlines. Attention to detail, strong leadership, and ability to consistently meet deadlines are critical.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate or a related field.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A minimum of five (5) years of successful progressive contract lifecycle management and project management experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred experience: Contract Management Lifecycle system administrator experience and contract experience in healthcare.
