About The Team

The Operation Team's mission is to drive efficient, high-quality operations that drive business growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and promote a culture of continuous improvement, cost-discipline, and quality while producing devices that enable Roku to be the comprehensive streaming platform that connects and benefits the entire TV ecosystem around the world.

As a member of the Roku Operations Team at Roku you will embody a blend of efficiency, collaboration, and customer focus, contributing to an agile, data-informed, and high performing Operations Team focused on market and margin growth in the competitive streaming industry.

About the Role

The Director of Strategic Sourcing – EE will lead the sourcing efforts for electronic components (EE), including key components such as SOC, WiFi, memory, and PCBA boards across all Roku products. This position oversees sourcing for Players, Remotes, Audio, and Smart Home devices. The role will manage a team of three direct reports and will drive strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize costs and enhance supply chain performance.

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $183,000 - $274,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.


What you’ll be doing:

• Manage and mentor the EE sourcing team, ensuring alignment with Roku's broader sourcing and organizational objectives
• Drive cost-saving initiatives for PCBA boards, including cost scrubbing and running RFP processes to identify and negotiate reductions
• Lead SOC and memory sourcing strategies and negotiations to ensure competitive pricing and supply chain resilience
• Partner with engineering teams and senior stakeholders (Sr. Directors and VPs) to influence strategic sourcing decisions and align with product development goals
• Focus on optimizing 1PTV profitability and enhancing the sourcing organization's overall effectiveness
• Provide expertise in managing volatile commodity markets (e.g., memory), leveraging business acumen to assess risks, judge market conditions, and drive favorable outcomes

We’re excited if you have:

• 10+ years in strategic sourcing, particularly in EE components like SOC, WiFi, and memory
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and grow teams
• Exceptional negotiation abilities and experience managing high-impact supplier relationships
• Adept at influencing senior-level stakeholders and collaborating across functional teams
• Expertise in commodity management, with a strong understanding of volatile pricing dynamics
