This role is responsible for the development of electrical vehicle systems and hardware architecture, across various technology domains. It requires a fundamental electronics background. The role is highly cross functional and may include occasional travel. The opening will be located at the Irvine location and reports directly to an Engineering Manager within the Hardware organization.

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Organize efforts around requirements collection, storage, and drive metrics around completion of reviews.
• Support feature development and decomposition down to the system, starting from user stories and vehicle requirements.
• Help drive cross-functional requirements and design of the hardware system, ensuring successful implementation down through the interface and component level.
• Leveraging experience to define what needs to be done more than taking direction and executing.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the position.

• Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering (ideally in the area of electrical or systems engineering)
• Experience (or equivalent): 5 years industry work in electrical engineering, project management or systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication for turning complex technical topics into understandable language.

• Salary Range for California (Tustin) Based Applicants: $154,000 - $192,500 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law)
