About Rivian

Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.

As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.

  • Design, simulate, and validate high-speed digital and analog circuits to meet signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) requirements.
  • Perform SI and PI analysis using industry-standard tools such as Ansys SIwave, HFSS, HSPICE, and ADS.
  • Collaborate with hardware design teams to develop PCB layouts, stack-ups, and routing guidelines that optimize SI and PI performance.
  • Conduct pre-layout and post-layout SI and PI simulations to identify and mitigate signal integrity issues, including reflections, crosstalk, and power distribution network (PDN) noise.
  • Familiar with one or two scripting languages such as Python, Matlab for automation
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design, SI and PI design methodologies.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master or PhD's degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in microwave and SI/PI fundamentals, including basic analog circuits, transmission line theory, crosstalk, s-parameters, channel simulation, PDN and EMIR.
  • Expertise in electromagnetic fields with hands-on experience using 2.5D and 3D solvers such as SIwave, HFSS, Sigrity and circuit simulators including ADS and HSPICE.
  • Detailed understanding of digital and analog equalization and familiar with using IBIS-AMI model in channel simulation
  • Experience in package design (Cadence Allegro, Virtuoso, Caliber...) is a plus.
  • Some background in industry standards and protocols such as DDR, PCIe, CPHY, etc.
  • Some experience in silicon level SI & PI analysis flow and tool (Redhawk and Voltus) would be a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
