General Summary

The Senior Manager for Business Operations – SaaS, provides operational, business and sales support to Qualcomm’s Industrial & Embedded IoT (IE-IoT) Business Unit’s cloud-based service offerings, including the Qualcomm Aware™ Platform. In this role, you will help facilitate the business operations of SaaS-type businesses, including by streamlining evaluation and trial processes, facilitating contracts and onboarding, establishing and monitoring program/product metrics (e.g., forecasts, budgets, demands, KPIs), helping to monitor and report pipeline growth and processes, and contributing to pricing execution, business model and billing issues.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive operational support for IE-IOT business unit’s SaaS strategy and initiatives based on advanced knowledge of relevant business systems, processes, products, and procedures and suggests improvements to increase efficiencies.
  • Executes customer setup activities, including supporting commercial and trial activities through legal agreement generation and coordination and engagement with regional teams.
  • Supports and flows price quotation to regional teams and customers, contributes to deal discussions, helps coordinate pricing books and resolve pricing issues.
  • Supports pipeline management by ensuring accurate and up-to-date entries from regional teams are capture and works with finance team to ensure revenue details are accurate.
  • Works with sales operations, finance and customer support to resolve customer onboarding issues, billing & activations.
  • Builds, maintains, and communicates demand plans, including by ensuring ensure hardware forecasting and supply chain issues are resolved.
  • Work with IT, Operations and PdM teams to support process development and tools needed for building out common features needed for monetization of services efforts across Aware and C2C.
  • Contributes to and updates large plans based on an advanced understanding of program/product metrics (e.g., forecasts, budgets, demands, KPIs).
  • Monitors, collects, analyzes, and reports on key metrics across multiple tools or systems to contribute to forecasting processes and understand demand.
  • Acts as a liaison across teams to communicate status and information about impending obstacles or changes.
  • Work cross-functionally between customer support, accounting and BU to help resolve billing needs, working the to receive any approvals from finance & Aware leadership and disposition back to the support team.
  • Identification where processes are unclear or undefined as the SaaS business scales, and working with the Business Operations and Process teams to develop and document appropriately.


This is an office based position located in San Diego, CA and will be expected to comply with the company's onsite work policy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 8+ years of business operations or related experience.


OR

Associate's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 10+ years of business operations or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience with ERP, CRM (e.g., Salesforce), business analytics (e.g., Tableau), Microsoft Suite, or related systems/applications.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
  • 2+ years of relevant technology industry experience.
  • 1+ years in a leadership role with direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports).
  • 1+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).

Pay Range And Other Compensation & Benefits

$147,600.00 - $221,400.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
