Job Description

We currently have a career opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team located in St. Louis, MO. (Hybrid role - in office 2x a week)

The Staff Accountant-International is a newly created role, reporting to the Accounting Manager-International. The International Accounting team currently supports operations in 12 countries in Asia, Europe and Latin America.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries in accordance with US generally accepted accounting principles. Entries may include cash and intercompany activity, prepaid amortization and accruals.
  • Reconcile, analyze and maintain general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close, including bank reconciliations.
  • Work with international finance teams across various time zones, including participation in virtual financial review meetings.
  • Perform financial statement analysis, including preparation of monthly reporting package schedules provided to management.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual schedules for auditors. Audit relationships may include internal and external financial auditors.
  • Assist with the integration of acquisitions as it pertains to related areas.
  • Cross-train with other team members.
  • Support other projects assigned by management.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1 year of related experience required.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize projects, and prioritize tasks.
  • Critical level of attention to detail.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Excel skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a Corporate Accounting environment
  • Experience with Oracle
  • Fluent in Spanish.
