Job Description

The Database Division Security team aims to provide our customers with the most secure products and services for their enterprises. We work on projects that make our products resilient to exploitation. We establish and drive to a high level of security criteria, and conduct security consulting and review for engineering. As a member of the Security team, you will help drive our commitment to enterprise security. Top candidates are passionate about security and are have in-depth experience in one or more specific security topics.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide security consultancy and advice to test and development teams, helping them achieve their design and release objectives.
  • Perform security design review and code reviews.
  • Educate and advocate security and safe coding practices in our products.
  • Conduct research to identify new attack vectors against our products and services.
  • Develop technical solutions that measure our effectiveness in testing for security vulnerabilities.
  • Develop technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and make security easier for developers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years relevant work experience, including experience in one or more of: Oracle database security and PL/SQL, C/C++/java/python code vulnerabilities, as well as experience with the enterprise software security models.
  • Significant development experience in Java, PL/SQL, C, C++.
  • Foundation in and in-depth technical knowledge of security engineering, computer and network security, authentication, security protocols and applied cryptography.
  • Should be motivated to learn independently and conduct self-directed research.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
