The Customer Identity Cloud (CIC) MFA Team

The Senior Product Manager Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Product, this role will lead the effort to provide secure, user-friendly authentication methods for thousands of Customer Identity Cloud (formerly known as Auth0) customers and millions of people around the world.

In this role, you will leverage your technical background, strong business acumen, and leadership skills to define and execute on an MFA strategy in collaboration with engineering, product design, product marketing and other adjacent teams deliver customer value and show measurable business outcomes.

This is a high-impact role that requires you to understand the technical aspects of authentication methods, customer use-cases and business challenges across multiple verticals, and how to simplify the experience for end-users who need to authenticate and the development teams that implement identity in their applications.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead as the subject matter expert for authentication methods and MFA
  • Build compelling business cases to support product strategy, planning and delivery
  • Define and evangelize a roadmap that represents your product vision and strategy
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, field teams and customers to define and execute on requirements
  • Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and usage data to influence direction and differentiation
  • Develop and test product hypotheses, working in a lean and iterative manner
  • Define and track KPIs and success metrics for your product area
  • Prepare enablement content with cross-functional partners
  • Manage the product life cycle

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Functional experience with identity, authentication, and MFA
  • Experience building and delivering products for developers
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead through influence
  • Technical aptitude and fluency to communicate with technical audiences
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with javascript and/or node.js
  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager
  • A passion for identifying and deeply understanding customer problems
  • Practical experience working data and tools to analyze data

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following!

  • Understanding of good SDK and/or API design
  • Experience working with or implementing CIC (Auth0)
  • Prior experience defining MFA policies
  • Ability to travel within the United States of America or Canada

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:
$160,000$240,000 USD
The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:
$179,000$269,000 USD
