Nordstrom is looking for a Senior Manager Program Management, Inventory Optimizations - Returns. This role will support our Returns program which encompasses the end-to-end journey of customer returns, from the point in which a customer initiates a return to when we’re either able to restock that unit or determine an alternative path (e.g., return to vendor). The position has significant importance for the company as flexible customer returns are core to Nordstrom’s DNA and returned product is a sizable source of our goods available for sale. This leader’s primary charge will be to leverage our returns source of goods to increase profitability by improving the operational systems and processes that support returns conditioning, processing, and positioning (longer-term). Returns are a foundational retail capability that require continuous management and advancement. In this role, the leader will:

  • Improve the systems, processes, and monitoring of our returns conditioning guardrails to increase profitability.
  • Optimize returns processing systems and processes, to decrease human decisioning, reduce touches, increase controls, and prevent loss.
  • Establish program action items and KPIs, monitor progress, adjust in-year as required, and share out regular updates with key stakeholders.
  • Support advancement of our returns technology “ROSE” to establish it as the enterprise-wide platform for all returns.
  • Effectively integrate with related work tracks – e.g., Inventory Movement (Transfers), Return to Vendor, Product Exhaust, Inventory Loss, Autoclosures, Unsellables, Inbound Inventory, NextGen Warehouse Management System, Transform Management System, and more.

As a leader in the Inventory organization, the Sr Manager Program Management, Returns will be a critical connection point between Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Stores to understand their individual needs and responsibilities in return activities and establish systems and processes that will collectively advance our capability. This role will also be a key partner for our Product Management and Technology teams as they also support the advancement of our capability, including the need to deliver stronger visibility and traceability of returns across our network – aligning the physical, logical and financial inventory signals. You will have broad exposure throughout the enterprise and enormous impact to the business, driving change over the short, medium and long term.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $126,500 - $210,000 annuallyThis position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
