Department Overview
Motorola Solutions’ Vehicle Intelligence (VI) team serves both the enterprise and public safety markets. Job Description
As part of a DevSecOps/FinOps team, you will be responsible for supporting the national operations of our VI deployments including our VehicleManager portfolio. These are highly available 24x7 cloud applications. Your SRE role encompasses deployment architecture, continuous software delivery, security operations, observability, high availability, disaster tolerance, survivability, testing, continuous improvement, all with automation. You’ll work with a dynamic and energetic team to support and mentor you.
Day to day responsibilities include:
Architecting and designing deployment architectures; especially with K8S
Performing system release management
Monitoring and troubleshooting the system
Creating workflow automation
Managing and creating levels of automated test
Maintaining quality metrics
Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen due to security compliance for this role; working visa not accepted
3 years experience with cloud operations and site reliability engineering
Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science or related applied technology field
Hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET, C#.
Experience with distributed large-scale SQL databases
Expertise with cloud software delivery pipelines, including GitHub
Experience with Ansible automation
Ability to independently and collaboratively solve problems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to a diverse audience
Target Base Salary Range: $72,700 USD - $145,400 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
Note: Candidate is required to be in the Chicago office 1-2 days per week.

Basic Requirements
Bachelors degree with 3+ years of cloud operations and site reliability engineering experience
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
