Title: Asst Dir-Software Engineer

Location: 800 Bellevue Way NE, Suite 350, Bellevue, WA 98004

Duties: Develop and code software for services on the Service Management Layer, including design, development, implementation, servicing and maintaining the code. Develop tests to validate code such as unit and integration tests. Develop software using development collaboration software such as Git/GitHub. Perform peer code reviews and mentor junior developers. Perform security reviews, fix bugs, and participate in on-call rotations. Participate in hackathons and scrum process. Build messaging service for Moody’s Platform to assist services consume and send messages from one point, which involves SQS and SNS fan out pattern from AWS Cloud. Participate in design reviews and work cross functionally with internal stakeholders.

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a closely related technical field plus at least three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, or in a related position formulating and analyzing software requirements. Full term of experience must include the following: working with Object Oriented Programming, algorithms, design patterns, data structures, multi-threaded programming, unit testing, and SDLC; using JSON, REST, gRPC, and automated testing tools; designing and implementing cloud-oriented solutions in AWS and Microsoft Azure; performing content management, data warehousing, reporting, and virtualization; coordinating program development of computer software applications, systems, services from design through product release; managing software or business processes for operations, systems, projects, tools, or policies; preparing technical requirements and software design specifications; and implementing and launching using best engineering practices, such as detailed technical documentation, incorporating unit and integration testing, and enabling logging, monitoring, and alarms to ensure service follows SaaS standards.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $163,862 to $196,850, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
