Job Function Summary

The Lead Engineer will assist engineering management of the mechanical and electrical systems, perform general maintenance and repairs, as well as provide a safe, efficient, and comfortable working environment for staff throughout the Firm’s locations. The Lead Engineer will need to be hands-on and work closely with building management, IT and Facilities staff.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Perform and or supervise basic facilities maintenance and repairs. Including Critical Facility Systems (i.e., Office HVAC, CRAC, Dry Cooler, UPS, ATS, Emergency Generator)
  • Monitor and respond to environmental alarms (not limited to normal business hours)
  • Respond to employee requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist project team in managing the installation and maintenance of the architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and plumbing systems
  • Supervise vendors during preventive maintenance and execute corrective measure as required
  • Coordinate procedures / testing with landlord staff of any integrated systems
  • Plan, coordinate and execute project deliverables
  • Take on special projects as needed

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • At least 15+ years of Building Engineering and 5+ years of Critical Environment experience preferred
  • Completion of accredited refrigeration / electrical training program
  • Must have demonstrated customer service and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, be hands on and prioritize in fast paced/demanding environment
  • Quick learner, detail oriented; demonstrable thoroughness and strong ownership of work
  • Good team player with a strong willingness to participate and help others
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment; High sense of urgency
  • Strong communication skills
  • Capable of working flexible hours including nights and weekends when required
  • Capable to travel to satellite offices located in EMEA
