Overview

As the New Product Introduction Program Manager for high-volume manufacturing of Microsoft Hardware, Senior NPI Program Manager will play an instrumental role in the end-to-end lifecycle of device development programs. This collaborative role aligns a cross-functional team to create, scale, and execute the operational plan. Key partners may include product development, sourcing, test, manufacturing operations, DFX engineering, customer care, and demand planning. You will quickly establish credibility, learn the launch process, and prioritize information from experts to overcome obstacles. Strong program management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential as you contribute to products brought to mass production at our facilities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field AND 7+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, hardware development, or consumer electronics OR equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations or a related area.
  • Candidate must demonstrate advanced level of knowledge in manufacturing disciplines; possess excellent communications and leadership skills, ability to work well with cross functional groups, ability to work independently with remote supervision.

  • Communication in English both written and spoken, is required as a high standard. Communication in Vietnamese and other diverse language is a plus.

  • In addition to effective management skills, the successful candidate will need to have the following attributes:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree Engineering, Supply Chain Management, OR related field AND 9+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, hardware development, OR consumer electronics
    • OR Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Supply Chain Management,OR related field AND 8+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, hardware development, OR consumer electronics OR equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations.
  • Additional experience and knowledge in consumer product, product development process will be significantly advantageous. Supplier management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Possess a deep understanding of product technical requirements, milestones of various groups, and interdependencies to establish an accurate and effective project infrastructure.
  • Establish clear goals, objectives, roles, and responsibilities among cross-functional groups.
  • Manage risks and dependencies effectively, ensuring timely decisions and maintaining product quality.
  • Oversee build readiness, including BOM, equipment, production line, resources, and daily progress or yield reporting plans for successful product builds.
  • Monitor and control project and product scope, cost, schedule, and final deliverables to meet stakeholders' expectations.
  • Communicate clearly and accurately with peers and senior management, distilling complex technical challenges, outlining options, and providing supporting data. Exceptional communication skills highlighting risks and providing recommendations to support product-level decisions.
  • Exhibit strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate and present to all levels of management.
