We are the Microsoft Store team, part of the Windows Experiences organization. Our team’s vision is for Store to be the preferred place to discover and acquire high quality apps and games which users need most; and for Developers & ISVs (Independent Software Vendors) to be excited to build Windows apps and games because they can innovate, differentiate, and exceed their business goals on Windows. We are also leveraging AI to enhance customer and developer experiences on the Microsoft Store! You will be a member of a new and growing team that builds high scale, secure, reliable, low latency Cloud services that power the Microsoft App Store experience that runs on 1.5 billion Windows devices worldwide!

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 8+ years experience working on large scale cloud services and distributed systems and Strong and applied knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as C# and .NET.
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability dealing with new code base, understanding it and co-developing it with them.
• Strong knowledge of Cloud services infrastructure, frameworks, and technologies such as Azure Cloud Services, Azure Service Fabric, .Net Framework, NuGet packages, and Git .
• Knowledge of common services design patterns and application development best practices.
• Experience in working within an agile software development team, leveraging experimentation and prototyping, while continuing to measure and iterate .
• Proven fundamental understanding of how to deliver end-to-end scenarios with security, reliability, and engineering quality in mind.
• Full stack development with knowledge of front-end skills is a great value add!

• Experience in collaborating with teams across different time zones and geographies.

• Ability to modernize and evolve components used by millions without service interruption .
• Ability to learn and work effectively in a highly ambiguous environment and consistently create clarity.
• Proficiency in developing apps or games for Windows, iOS or Android.
• Experience in submitting apps to Microsoft Store or Google PlayStore or Apple AppStore.
• Knowledge of First party and Third party Commerce Platforms.
• Proficiency in RESTful web services technologies is a plus .
• Proficiency in NoSQL data storage systems and patterns is a plus.
• Knowledge of the latest data storage, analysis, and visualization systems.

• You will be an experienced engineer who has built apps and submitted it to either Microsoft Store or Apple AppStore or Google PlayStore.
• You will be a strong technical leader who is committed to creating clarity, generating energy, and delivering success.
• You will provide direction to the feature team through breaking down service specs and architecture, and work across multiple disciplines to make implementation decisions.
• In your role you will work with peers across program management and software engineering to launch new experiences that integrate with existing systems.
• Ability to ramp up on code from other partner teams and help co-develop and collaborate with them will be a key requirement for this role!
