Job Description:

The Senior Manager - Global Trade Assurance will manage the team, the execution, and the direction of the Global Trade Compliance program at Microchip. In addition, the ADGTC will represent the team to Senior and Executive staff, and various Government agencies, and work closely with Legal and the Trade Compliance Council to recommend, set, and implement Global Trade Compliance policies.

Initially reporting directly to the Sr Director of Global Trade Compliance and Microchip’s General Counsel, this is a senior position with great impact to Corporate Operations. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience managing a technical and regulatory organization at a US-based multinational technology/manufacturing company manufacturing that sells Consumer, Industrial, Aerospace, and Defense products globally. The candidate will lead the team, work with Corporate leaders to find the balance and the “right Microchip answer”, appropriately staff and grow the team, and execute flawlessly. With the planned retirement of the Sr Director by the end of the year, the position will grow to replace that person.

Requirements/Qualifications:

· Required Skills and Experience

· 15+ years of experience in a Semiconductor/High Technology Manufacturing, Distribution, or Sales Environment

· Awareness of U.S. and International Customs regulations, Export Administration Regulations, and International Trade in Arms Regulations.

· Awareness of International Trade Regulations for Semiconductors or other High Technology products

· Awareness of Restricted Party Screening tools such as Visual Compliance

· Proficient with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software such as BAAN, Oracle, AX, etc.

· Superior organizational and problem-solving skills, and ability to multitask.

· Significant attention to detail.

· Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Tableau

· Ability to work independently and manage in a fast-paced Operations Environment

· Overall enthusiasm for departmental success.

· Exceptional analytical, written, & verbal communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills and people-orientated approach, including with people from many countries/regions

· International Business Experience is Highly Desirable

Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, Permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b (a) (3).This position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.
