Job Description

Senior Enterprise Solution Architect

Exciting opportunity at MSK:

As Senior Enterprise Solution Architect within the Enterprise Architecture and Solution team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing solution architectures that address specific business needs while ensuring integration and alignment with MSK’s enterprise architecture. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable solutions and data architectures, focusing on research workflows and analytics within a healthcare context. While collaborating with cross-functional teams, technology leaders, and stakeholders to define architectural standards, guide technology selection, and support data governance frameworks. You will also provide technical leadership to ensure optimal alignment between architecture and business capabilities.

Role Overview:

  • Design and implement architecture solutions that meet business requirements and are aligned with enterprise architecture, including disaster recovery, high availability, API integration, and cloud/on-premises considerations.
  • Work with Product team, Scrum team, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements, define use cases, and ensure solutions meet research objectives.
  • Ensure architectural runway and technical solutions are developed and maintained to support the continuous delivery pipeline in Agile environment.
  • Conduct alternative solution assessment, evaluate vendor solutions, provide technical recommendations, and guide the technology selection process for the enterprise initiatives.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure IT governance policies, security protocols, and compliance with healthcare regulations are integrated into the solution architecture.
  • Provide architectural guidance and support to engineering and technical teams, ensuring architectural coherence and successful project delivery.

Key Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture roles, ideally within healthcare or a related industry.
  • Relevant cloud and architecture certifications are a plus.
  • Skilled at effectively communicate architectural strategies and frameworks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience leading architectural discussions and influencing key architectural decisions.

Core Skills:

  • Stay current with new technologies and industry best practices to design solutions that enhance research capabilities and improve workflows.
  • Lead architectural discussions and align architecture with business priorities.
  • Manage architectural conflicts and ensure that solutions align with enterprise goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance and regulatory compliance in healthcare.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of translating technical solutions into business terms and engaging with senior leadership.

Additional Information:

  • This role is based at MSK’s 633 Third Avenue location.
  • Schedule: Full Time, Hybrid onsite 2-3 days a week
  • Reporting to the Senior Director, Architecture

Pay Range: $145,000 - $239,300
