Job Description Summary
Overview
• Identifies ways to leverage data to answer important business questions
• Innovates applications and techniques to use and communicate data in new and more effective ways for influencing business decisions, encouraging long-term customer engagement, enhancing security, and any other possible uses

Responsibilities
• Takes a lead position in complex initiatives of strategic importance (e.g., cross functional/ cross geographies)
• Applies advanced technical capabilities within own discipline to coach and develop technical talent and project teams
• Provides input into performance appraisal process for several junior employees or team members
• Innovates uses for data for answering important current and future business questions.
• Translates conceptual ideas into tactical experiments and test plans
• Discovers possible future data uses across all business functions, liaising with stakeholders to gain insight into their potential data needs
• Oversees the creation of presentations and publications to communicate innovations, ideas, or discoveries. May participate in presentation delivery

Experiences
• Experience designing large scale analytical systems using both traditional and non-traditional methods
• Effectively explains complex systems to business teams and customers
• Deep understanding of math, computer science, statistics, predictive and descriptive modeling

• Expert PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access; programming and coding ability a plus
• Experience with Tableau, Domo, Splunk, Power BI, or other comparable business intelligence tools

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
