The Fraud Products team (part of O&T) is developing new capabilities for MasterCard's Decision Management Platform, which serves as the core for multiple business solutions to combat fraud and validate cardholder identity. Our patented Java-based platform processes billions of transactions per month in tens of milliseconds using a multi-tiered, message-oriented approach for high performance and availability.
MasterCard software engineering teams leverage Agile development principles, advanced development and design practices, and an obsession over security, reliability, and performance to deliver solutions that delight our customers. We're looking for talented software development engineers and architects to develop advanced technologies and applications that are revolutionizing payments.
Role
• Successfully deliver as part of a team on major projects and complex
assignments with broad scope and long-term business implications.
• Work closely with technical leads on assigned projects to assist in
implementation tasks.
• Assist with production support issues by acting as a subject matter expert in
resolving incidents and problem tickets.
• Be an integral part of the Agile SAFe discovery and elaboration sessions.
• Have strong ownership of your team’s software and get deep in the maintenance
characteristics, runtime properties and dependencies including hardware,
operating system, and build.
• Communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a global environment.
All About You
• Prior software development experience, particularly using Java
• Working experience and sound understanding working with bare metal servers
• Understanding of integrating vendor and open source products into an overall
system
• Familiarity with a variety of architectural patterns including multi-tiered web
applications and high performance, high availability transaction processing
systems
• Previous experience developing and supporting a high performance, transaction
processing system
• Knowledge of software development processes including agile processes and
test-driven development
Essential Skills required:
• Experience in Core Java including multi-threading
• Working experience with Gemfire Grid
• Advanced knowledge of Java/J2EE
• Advanced Knowledge of Spring Framework (including Spring Boot)
• Knowledge of Splunk, creating dashboards, alerts/monitors.
• Oracle & PL/SQL and advanced SQL scripting
