Test Engineer, Powertrain

We are looking for a Test Engineer to support the development and execution of End-of-Line (EOL) testing for EV powertrain systems. In this role, you’ll work closely with design and manufacturing teams to build, improve, and maintain test systems for electrical and electromechanical components. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with test equipment and software, a strong problem-solving mindset, and a passion for innovation in the electric vehicle space.
You Will
- Create, modify, and maintain test software used in EV powertrain End-of-Line (EOL) testing.
- Design, validate, and document test systems for electrical and electromechanical products.
- Modify testing equipment hardware and software to provide enhanced test coverage and increase reliability.
- Coordinate the deployment of firmware changes onto flashing stations within the manufacturing line.
- Work alongside design engineers to create and improve test procedures for manufacturing End-of-Line (EOL) tests.
- Coordinate the calibration of test equipment hardware to ensure compliance.
- Develop verification and calibration procedures for test equipment.
- Investigate root causes of test failures and help to drive product improvement.
- Create training guides to more effectively resolve tester issues.
You Bring
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related fields, MS preferred
- 2+ years of experience in testing electrical or electromechanical devices, preferably in a production environment.
- Hands-on skills to design, build, and commission test benches.
- Working knowledge of test instruments like Data Acquisition Modules, DMM, Oscilloscope, Power Supplies, E-Loads etc.,
- Working knowledge of NI LabVIEW is a plus.
- Experience troubleshooting high-voltage electrical test systems.
- Experience with AutoCAD electrical or equivalent schematic design/documentation software package.
- Experience in EV powertrain manufacturing is a plus.
- Automotive component/system testing experience is a plus.
- Experience with dynamometers, battery, and power electronics testing is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, UDS and TCP/IP, automotive ethernet.
- Knowledge of ethernet networking terminology and functionality including VLAN, IP, MAC is a plus.
