We are seeking a world-class Sr. Supply Chain Manager, focused on Cost Optimization. This role will play a strategic and operational role in supporting the Director of Procurement and Supply Chain and Interior and Exterior Direct Procurement teams in driving key initiatives and robust/sustainable BOM cost management. This role will be highly visible to the leadership and will have a career path to lead a Direct Procurement group one day.

You Will:

  • Focus on BOM Cost Optimization as a Supply Chain Lead for Interior and Exterior:
    Lead, manage, and support key procurement savings initiatives, both cross-functional and departmental, ensuring timely and successful execution. Collaborate with business leaders to identify and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Operational and Compliance Excellence:
    Collaborate with Group Managers and Global Supply Managers (GSMs) and oversee the operational execution of procurement activities within the Interior and Exterior Direct Procurement. Work with procurement managers and teams to optimize workflows, improve supplier performance, oversee procurement compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    Serve as a liaison between the procurement team and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on procurement strategies, timelines, priorities, and executions. Facilitate communication and address any challenges or escalations promptly.
  • Data Analytics & Reporting:
    Provide actionable insights through data analysis, developing dashboards and reports to track procurement performance, savings, supplier performance, and other key metrics. Work with the data team to standardize procurement reporting and ensure accurate tracking of performance.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation:
    Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and processes that enhance procurement effectiveness. Actively identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, reduce complexity, and drive innovation across the direct procurement function.
  • Executive Reporting & Presentation:
    Prepare presentations and reports for senior executives, summarizing key procurement achievements, challenges, and opportunities. Ensure that executives are informed of critical procurement developments and any risks or escalations.

You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management, strategic planning, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong negotiation skills to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and program management skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement tools and systems, along with advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Be a proactive self-starter comfortable navigating dynamic work environments with shifting priorities.
  • Effective in engaging and collaborating across different departments.
  • Experience in the Automotive Industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with complex analysis and data analytics in a supply chain context
  • In-depth understanding of automotive market dynamics and pricing mechanisms
  • Knowledge of automotive industry trends and emerging technologies in Interior and Exterior components
  • Financial Planning & Analysis role experience
  • Cost Engineering experience
  • Start-up working experience

Important:

  • The role is full-time onsite Monday-Friday in our Southfield Michigan location and does not offer a remote or hybrid option.
  • This role may be required to work in alignment with our West Coast office hours, 10:30 am - 7:30 pm EST in office.
