Staff Engineer, IT Systems Infrastructure

You Will:
- Operate as a technical expert on infrastructure projects pertaining to Systems infrastructure.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot systems technologies such as VMware vSphere/Horizon, Virtualization, Linux, Windows, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
- Continually analyze and work to improve quality of services offered by IT.
- Train/Mentor junior staff members as appropriate.
- Participate in ongoing technology evaluations and keep up with technology trends and industry standards.
- Suggest improvements based on technology, best practices, or changing requirements.
You Bring:
- BS/MS in Information Technology/Computer Science or combination of education and equivalent work experience
- 8+ years’ Experience in Datacenter and remote office IT hosting environment implementations and support in a globally distributed environment
- 8+ years in systems and service hosting solutions for distributed environments, including Windows and Linux, across a hypervisor platform like VMware
- 8+ years’ implementing large Enterprise service deployments for back-office services such as DNS/DHCP, AD, Azure AD, MFA, File services, Printing services, Email services across multiple domains, Office 365, etc...
- 8+ years’ experience and awareness of systems security practices, data protection, such as host configurations, patch and configuration management methodologies
- Experience with virtualization technologies, particularly hypervisors like VMware or Proxmox
- Proficiency in managing and administering both Windows and Linux systems
- Knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and application virtualization, with emphasis on Horizon and Citrix
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and container orchestration systems like Kubernetes is a plus
- Competence in scripting languages including but not limited to Python, Bash, and PowerShell
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Ansible or Terraform
