Delivering excellence at the intersection of data science, research and business domain expertise, our Data & Analytics organization is the engine that powers JPMorgan Chase with insights and analytic solutions that enable teams to create competitive advantages, inspire client-centric innovation, and solve challenging business questions.

Whether you’re working on projects that focus on machine learning, business intelligence, data engineering, and/or visualization, you will have the opportunity to combine your technical skills and understanding of the business context to collaboratively develop end-to-end solutions with commercial, real-world impact on our clients and customers.

Our areas of focus include Big Data Analytics, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Natural Language Processing, Classical Machine Learning, Time Series, Automation, and Interpretability of results in relation to business objectives.

Our 10 Week Summer Internship Program begins in June. Your professional growth and development will be supported throughout the internship program via project work related to your professional interests, mentorship, engaging speaker series with senior leaders and more. Full-time employment offers may be extended upon successful completion of the program.

Job responsibilities

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or 1-Year Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or related major with analytically rigorous coursework with an expected graduation of December 2025 - August 2026
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in a coding language and willingness to learn and apply Python or SQL during internship

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Knowledge of machine learning / data science theory, techniques and tools and experience working with large disparate data sets
  • Experience in mathematics and statistics modelling
  • Awareness of big data technologies (Hive, Hadoop, Spark) and/or computer clusters
  • Awareness of standard analytical tech stacks (Jupyter Notebooks, AWS, Spark, PyTorch, R, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present findings in an understandable manner to a non-technical audience
