Job Overview
QuickBooks proudly serves over 6 million small & medium sized businesses (SMBs). While initially started as desktop and bookkeeping software, QuickBooks has grown to provide millions of businesses with payments, capital, banking, payroll, and other financial services - moving over $200 billion in and out of businesses every year.
Small businesses fuel our global economy, but the odds are stacked against them with 50% of businesses failing in the first five years. Of the most severe challenges a small business faces, is managing their cash flow: balancing inflows and outflows, late customer payments, funding growth, and making payroll all while hoping there’s enough leftover for profit or a rainy day.
QuickBooks is on a mission to change the game by providing access to services that improve business’s prospects and increase their survival rate. If you have a passion for helping SMBs solve their cash flow & growth challenges, and are energized by the opportunity to transform our Lending Marketplace to help as many SMBs get access to the funding they need, this hyper-growth, 0 to 1 role might be for you.
You will immerse yourself in your customers’ problems and lead a team of designers and engineers - while partnering with Business Development, Partnership Operations and various external lending partners - to create new opportunities to solve cash flow & growth challenges by connecting the business with lending solutions at the moment of need, ultimately enabling them to stay focused on running and growing their business.
Qualifications
- 8+ years designing and delivering world-class products in a Product Management role with a proven track record of delivering results. Experiences with 2-sided networks (eg. Marketplaces) and/or Lending a plus
- 3+ years of experience working on revenue-driving products with a portfolio of product and feature releases that demonstrate well-crafted customer experiences
- Familiarity with other financial products used to manage cash flow: lending, merchant cash advances, factoring; basic knowledge of financial industry laws and regulations, a plus
- Track record of setting a product vision and translating it into a roadmap and end-to-end execution
- Passionate about solving customer problems (the big ones and the small ones)
- Strong communication skills with engineering, business, design, and executive stakeholders
- Develops and defends strong points of view with data and analytics; comfortable with statistical analysis, and not afraid to be wrong - but adjusts rapidly to new data
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade offs, and efficiently frame and evaluate new ideas
- High level of professionalism, passion and a sense of urgency to “make things happen”.
- Bachelor’s degree required. A major in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline a plus
Responsibilities
- Drive a bold and innovative product strategy for the Lending Marketplace - a top strategic focus for Intuit - and interact regularly with the Senior Leadership Team
- Perform customer-centric research, rapid experimentation, and drive awareness and support throughout the QuickBooks organization
- Be customer-obsessed and lead the team to build delightful and seamless customer experiences across both sides of the Marketplace - SMBs in need of financing AND the Lending Partners serving QuickBooks SMBs
- Strategically partner with Business Development, Partnership Operations, Lending Platform, Marketing, Data Science, Legal & Compliance teams, as well as other product surface owners across QuickBooks
- Be the domain expert for your product and drive execution on the team’s roadmap through agile engineering sprints, prioritizing between new features, customer feedback and ongoing Marketplace performance
- Encourage a culture of experimentation, learning, and a growth-mindset - never settling for the status quo and innovating on the bleeding edge of what’s possible
- Manage the tensions between customer, partner, and business value creation to enable sustainable and best-in-class lending solutions for SMBs, while disrupting the status quo and generating excitement for the offering
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $206,000 -279,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
