Overview: The Principal Program Manager for Data Science works closely with Product Management and Data Science leadership to manage large, complex, cross-functional initiatives to optimize the MORE2 Registry, the industry’s largest primary source dataset.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own the definition and management of specifications, plans, and timelines of assigned programs and initiatives
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders and own the delivery of concise, quality communication with this audience.
- Create and maintain relationships with relevant individuals, teams, and organizations while designing and implementing a strategy to achieve program outcomes
- Leverage technical domain knowledge to educate and influence key internal stakeholders on technical program activities and outcomes
- Effectively demonstrate and role model a mindset of ownership and accountability that translates into large scale and consistent technical program delivery, flawless execution, and strong partnerships as well as reliable return on investment.
- Take ownership of driving continuous improvement in business processes and tools to enable rapid growth and scale.
- Partner with cross functional teams to build productive relationships as the accountable resource and Subject Matter Expert.
- Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures, and mission statement.
- Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position.
- Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program/project management including a close partnership with Data Scientists and Data Pipeline Engineers
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the B2B technology industry working with Engineering or technical teams such as Engineering, Software Development, and Information Technology
- Experience in the Life Science and Healthcare industry preferred
- Experience in Real-World Data including claims, EHR, lab, and pharmacy data preferred
- Experience writing specs, creating a roadmap, and forming a partnership with an engineering team
- ‘Get things done attitude’ along with great organizational skills
- Understanding of Agile and project management process
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional technical teams
- Strong writing, mentoring, negotiation, communication, and meeting facilitation skills; ability to utilize a combination of formal authority and persuasion skill sets.
- Strong integration skills; ability to coordinate all aspects of a program.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline required
- Project Management and Agile certifications preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Sedentary work (i.e., sitting for long periods of time).
- Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions.
- Subject to inside environmental conditions.
