Job description

Infosys is seeking a Senior Linux DevOps Engineer with strong Devops experience in virtualization technologies.

Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Atlanta, GA or Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel within the US.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the
specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• At least 3 years of experience in Linux administration.
• Hands on experience with OpenShift system integration, Infrastructure as a service and Cloud knowledge.
• Candidate should be skilled in Platform engineering, configuration, maintenance and provisioning of Kubernetes/docker in Openshift, deploy applications in Linux systems.
• Proficient scripting skills in Perl / Python / Shell Scripting / Ruby /Power CLI.
• Experience in projects involving engineering and support of application Infrastructure.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines management, administration, and support
• Follow and practice service management processes established with client.
• Good communication skills and should be engaged in the stake holder calls.

Preferred Qualifications:
• SRE experience is a preferred.
• Experience in working on disaster recovery testing.
• In depth knowledge in OpenShift – Kubernetes, [ OpenShift 4.x , and GitOps experience preferred ]
• Experience on Monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
• Planning and Co-ordination skills.
• Stake holder management skills.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
