The Non-Agency Loan Operations Manager is responsible for oversight and governance of the administration of HSBC Bank USA’s commercial and global banking syndicated and bi-lateral loans with supervision of US and global service center staff.

Loan administration includes deal booking in Loan IQ, lifecycle servicing of the loans, primary and secondary trading, and related regulatory reporting. The manager is responsible for ensuring performance of the team is in line with the service level agreement.
The manager will interact with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure client needs are met, ensure accuracy and timely completion of transactions and responses to second and third lines of defense and manage escalations. Individual should be a self-starter, proficient with Loan IQ and will work in accordance with agreed procedures and facility-specific documentation.

As our Senior Loan Manager - Non-Agency Operations you will:

  • Responsible for analyzing and understanding loan agreements and related documentation
  • Construct deal structures in Loan IQ including amending existing deal structures in USD and other currencies
  • Perform loan servicing for syndicated and bi-lateral loans
  • Review and approve transactions and loan processing, including but not limited to loan funding
  • Review and drive break resolution identified in the reconciliation process
  • Provide support to borrowers, colleagues, and stakeholders by addressing inquiries timely
  • Possess a detailed and comprehensive understanding of Risk-Free Rates (RFR), market concepts and practices
  • Communicate and support all inquiries from global service centers and train junior Loan Administration Analyst(s)
  • Maximize client retention by delivering top tier client services that meets client expectations
  • Trouble-shoot Loan IQ functional problems/issues
  • Participate and lead on all projects, system enhancements and automation, new business ventures and data remediation efforts, as necessary
  • Point person for internal and external auditors
  • Interpret terms of loan agreements and deal/transaction bookings in Loan IQ and build successful relationships with counsel and clients both internal and external, servicers and Bank management at all levels
  • Ability to escalate and communicate to both internal and external stakeholders using the proper channels
  • Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of errors occurring including its identification, assessment and mitigation
  • The jobholder will continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices and the impact of new technology

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $122,000.00 and $183,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
