Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, other relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of professional experience as a product leader driving elements of the product development lifecycle such as product vision, go-to-market strategy, driving requirements, and product launch.
  • Experience with AI/ML and related technologies particularly applying them to enterprise applications.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience motivating others at all levels by creating a shared sense of vision and purpose.
  • Ability to balance detailed, technical guidance with “big picture” strategy, enabling teams to deliver products that are effective and also creating new ways to approach problems.
  • Ability to collaborate across organizations and product areas to get things done, and comfort with organizational complexity.
  • A track record of delivering complex projects with a bias to action and solid outcomes.
  • Proven track record of delivering successfully within timelines.

About the job

Core Labs is focused on discovering and delivering new 1P products, technologies and platforms that advance Google’s mission. Core Labs is currently focused on the AI Powered Program (AIPG) which is about transforming how Google operates using GenAI across domains such as Product Development, Safety & Security, Corporate Functions and Googler Experiences. A key part of AIPG strategy is to develop Role Agents which are AI Powered agents implementing subsets of skills mapping to Googler roles such as SWE and SRE. AIPG partners closely with GDM, Vertex, CoreM, etc.

In this role, you will be charged with engaging with these areas of high importance and serving as the uber PM for Corporate Function AIPG Role Agents. As Principal Product Manager on the Core Labs team, you will partner with CorpEng and Core leaders across the problem space for Corporate Function Role agents.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $272,000-$383,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive 1st principles thinking to transform how Google operates, now and in the future with the AI Powered Google Program.
  • Work on PM, driving one or two high priority role agents. Partner with the T/PgM team on an intake funnel that results in strong product roadmaps.
  • Help ensure that AIPG role agents are developed as a scalable ecosystem with consistent user experience.
  • Help figure out strategy for how to approach the problem and help develop MVP product proposals, Proof-of-Concept, etc., for early stage ideas (0 to 1). For later stage agents, help figure out how to scale their deployments.
  • Develop overall strategy and vision for Corporate Function Role agents partnering closely with CorpEng and other key stakeholders and partners.
